This Trimbach Riesling is no ordinary Riesling. The grapes for this white wine come exclusively from the finest vineyards in Ribeauville, rich in clay and limestone soils. The old vineyard for the Trimbach Riesling Reserve
The Riesling grapes come from Trimbach's own vineyards, including the renowned Lieux-Dits vineyard, considered a Premiers Cru. Harvested in late September/early October, the grapes are vinified at the Trimbach winery. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats, and the wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Bottles remain in the cellar for several years before release, ensuring the wines are both ready to drink upon release and have excellent aging potential.
The famous Trimbach style
Descendants of a long line of wine enthusiasts, Hubert and Bernard Trimbach, as well as their sons Pierre and Jean, now manage the estate. Rooted in Alsace since 1626, the Trimbach name quickly gained a reputation regionally and then internationally, particularly under the leadership of Frédéric-Emile Trimbach at the end of the 19th century. The estate is situated on beautiful terroirs that are managed with the utmost care. The owners closely monitor every stage of the vinification process. With respect for tradition, the renowned Trimbach style is preserved.
