Let's start with a true success story: Barasasso Appassite, hailing from the immensely popular Puglia. Italian wines have achieved sky-high popularity in recent years. This is no surprise: a single sip of Barasasso Appassite instantly transports you to ecstasy. It's a complex blend of three of Italy's most famous grape varieties: Montepulciano, Primitivo, and Sangiovese. The Appassite designation means the grapes are dried before being pressed. The result is an extremely concentrated wine bursting with flavor and aromas of chocolate, cassis, blackberries, white grapes, and vanilla. A wine worthy of the subtitle "La Dolce Vita."

Butter & Wood Chardonnay

The second wine in this gift set featuring two "all-time classics" is also a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. We're talking, of course, about the Chardonnay, hailing from its native France. In the vast south – Languedoc-Roussillon – the Chardonnay grapes grow to their heart's content. What's unique about this Butter & Wood Chardonnay is that the juice is aged partly in large barrels and partly in small ones. This gives this Chardonnay wine a unique palette of vanilla, apricot, pineapple, and delicate herbs, which our vinologists secretly fell in love with from the very first sip!
