Bolla's Verona Rossa is known as one of the most highly regarded red wines in their range. This exquisite wine originates from the prestigious wine region of Venice and is crafted from a careful selection of Cabernet Sauvignon, Corvina, Merlot, and Rondinella grapes. These grapes are hand-harvested and undergo rigorous selection to ensure that only the crème de la crème is used for this wine.

Bolla: A World-Famous Winery

The Bolla story began in 1893 when Abele Bolla decided to pursue his passion for wine. Located in picturesque northern Italy, in the Veneto region, Abele ran a charming family inn. However, his ambition extended beyond hospitality. He wanted to offer his guests an unforgettable wine experience. This vision led to the founding of the Bolla winery. The wines Abele introduced quickly became a hit. Driven by this success, the family decided to dedicate themselves entirely to the art of winemaking. More than a century later, Bolla is known as a world-renowned winery, offering a wide range of wines, each with the signature Bolla flavor. Today, Bolla's award-winning wines are hand-harvested with love and care in Italy. The grapes' unique flavor profiles are due to the unique climate, soil composition, and temperatures of the growing regions. Bolla strives to capture these nuances in every bottle, so enthusiasts can enjoy an authentic Italian wine experience.

Refined Wood Aging for an Exceptional Taste

After careful harvesting, the grapes undergo two days of skin maceration at a cool temperature of around five degrees Celsius. Fermentation then follows in stainless steel tanks under controlled conditions. Half of this wine is then aged in oak for twelve months, allowing the Verona Bolla Rossa to develop into a robust wine with a soft nuance. The aromas reveal hints of fresh red fruit, vanilla, spices, and a touch of cherry. On the palate, this wine is smooth and rich, with flavors of blackberry, raspberry, and cherry, complemented by spicy and vanilla notes. The finish is elegant and soft, with subtle tannins.
