A rosé just the way we love it. A delicate and subtle aroma and a balanced, aromatic flavor. The wine is made of 70 percent Grenache Gris and 30 percent Grenache Noir. A perfect combination, resulting in a lively rosé.
The vinification process of Villa Blanche Grenache rosé
Since 1995, the Calmel & Joseph winery has been a household name in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The vineyards are primarily located on the coast, and by planting vines on different plots, the winery can cultivate different grape varieties in their ideal soil.
The vines are deeply rooted in clay and limestone soil. The climate is Mediterranean with abundant sunshine and little rain. Winters are mild, while summers are very hot and dry. This combination ensures that the grapes remain healthy. The Grenache grapes are harvested in two distinct phases. First, an early harvest to enhance the freshness of the wine, followed by a 15-day fermentation period to achieve a good concentration of aromas. In the winery, destemming and a six-hour maceration follow. This is followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. The fine lees are added to provide more structure. Finally, the wine is aged for several months in stainless steel tanks.
