Thanks to the unique microclimate, formed by the fusion of hilly landscapes and sea breezes, the grapes develop distinctive aromas that distinguish this wine.
Viticcio: A Tradition of Tuscan Winemaking
Since 1964, Viticcio has established itself in the heart of Tuscany, capturing the essence of Chianti Classico. Viticcio's wines quickly became known for their authentic expression of the Tuscan terroir. With 120 hectares spread across Chianti Classico, Maremma, and Bolgheri, Viticcio continues its winemaking tradition.
The carefully selected grapes come from the Poggio la Mozza and Magliano vineyards, both located 150 meters above sea level, bathed in sunlight. The soil, a mix of sandstone and sandy loam, provides the ideal environment for the grapes. After being harvested by hand in September and October, the grapes undergo a rigorous selection process, followed by 12 days of fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels and another 3 months in bottle.
