Von Blumen, the renowned winery, embodies passion, quality, and artisanal winemaking. Located in the enchanting Alto Adige region of Northern Italy, the winery cherishes a rich tradition and heritage in the wine world. Roberta, Cristina, and Giuseppe Fugatti enthusiastically founded Von Blumen in 2013. Inspired by the northern Alto Adige region, they embraced the challenge of creating wines of exceptional quality. The grapes for this wine are carefully hand-picked from the vineyards surrounding Pochi di Salorno, at an average altitude of 514 meters. The unique terroir and climatic conditions of this region give the grapes a special character. After gently crushing and destemming the grapes, the juice undergoes controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. During this process, the skins remain in contact with the juice, contributing to the wine's rich color and intense flavor. To further enhance flavor and color extraction, the wine is pumped over daily. After fermentation, the Von Blumen 514 Blauburgunder Pinot Nero is allowed to mature and develop in large wooden barrels.
