Note: The bottle has changed, but the contents remain exactly the same! Schlumberger White Secco, the most famous wine from this great Austrian winery. Schlumberger produces Austria's finest sparkling wines. The history of Schlumberger begins with Robert Schlumberger, a German man who worked for many years at the oldest Champagne house, Ruinart. However, Robert met a loved one, and he decided to move to Austria for her. Thanks to the knowledge he gained at Ruinart, he decided to start producing sparkling wines in Austria. For many years, Schlumberger was the only producer of Austrian sparkling wines.
The old vineyard of the Schlumberger White Secco
This delicious Schlumberger White Secco is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Welschriesling. Schlumberger doesn't own its own vineyards but has collaborated with over 350 winegrowing families since its founding, all of whom grow the grapes for Schlumberger. The white grapes all come from Lower Austria. This region is characterized by warm days and considerably cooler nights. These conditions are ideal for white grapes. Red grapes, on the other hand, thrive in somewhat colder temperatures. Therefore, all the red grapes come from Burgenland. The harvest for almost all the grapes takes place around the same time for each family. This allows the grapes to be transported directly to the winery, where the wines can be made. The sparkling wines are all made using the "Methode Traditionelle" method, as Robert Schlumberger learned from Ruinart.
What does Schlumberger White Secco taste like?
We've gradually become very curious about why this sparkling white wine is so incredibly popular. A small amount of residual sugar gives this Schlumberger White Secco a pleasantly light sweetness. The color is a beautiful golden yellow with a lovely, dancing mousse. The aroma offers a rich bouquet of peach, ripe mango, and hints of honey and yellow plums. The taste is fantastic, with a wonderfully soft mousse (bubbles) and a wealth of flavors such as yellow fruit, honey, and melon. The modern taste of the new Prosecco generation. This sparkling wine is made according to the Méthode Traditionelle and has achieved excellent results in blind tastings. The bottle design is unique, distinctive, young, and modern. As if all this weren't enough, the Schlumberger White Secco won the 2008 Innovation Award in Austria!
