Valle de Uco, home to top producer Zuccardi, is renowned for the exceptional quality of its wines. The vineyards are situated in outstanding terroir with high elevations, a long growing season with over 250 sunny days per year, and significant temperature variations between day and night. This Chardonnay beautifully reflects these unique conditions, with an attractive yellow color, delightful tropical aromas of lychee and baked pineapple, a lovely rounded structure, and a refreshing finish.

The high quality wines of Zuccardi

The Zuccardi family has a rich history of innovation and research in viticulture, enabling them to produce wines of the highest quality. The family emigrated from Italy to Argentina in the late 19th century and began by establishing an irrigation farm, as agriculture in Argentina is almost impossible without irrigation. In 1963, Alberto V. Zuccardi, father of current director José Alberto Zuccardi, planted the first vineyards in Maipú to demonstrate the farm's efficiency. Ten years later, he purchased new land east of Mendoza, and José Alberto has led the winery since 1985. The Chardonnay grapes for Zuccardi Valles are carefully and selectively harvested by hand. They are then transported almost immediately to the winery. Here, the grapes undergo another rigorous selection and gentle pressing. The juice is transferred to stainless steel tanks where the wine is allowed to mature on its own lees.
