Guigal produces wines that are among the absolute best in the world! Their wines regularly win awards, and that's well deserved. The estate was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal and remains fully owned by the Guigal family to this day. They combine years of experience with modern equipment.
The harvest is small, as only 700,000 bottles of this Guigal Cotes du Rhone Blanc are produced annually. Each grape is harvested separately, as each grape ripens later or earlier, and the Guigal winemakers then create the blend. This white Cotes du Rhone is aged in steel barrels, preserving its freshness and minerality.
The aroma of this white Guigal Cotes du Rhone is very lively, with lovely hints of white flowers, peaches, and apricots. Later, when the wine is well-swirled, hints of peach and acacia emerge. The palate is rich and rounded with a lovely freshness, abundant with white and yellow fruit, including peach, apple, and pear. On the back of the palate, it also reveals light green herbs and a touch of citrus finesse. This Cotes du Rhone Blanc pairs perfectly with refined fish dishes, both cold and hot.
