Looking for an exceptional wine? One that has matured for an exceptionally long time in the Bolla cellars, and whose aromas burst forth from the bottle? Then this Bolla Amarone Le Origini Riserva is just what you're looking for. A remarkably powerful wine that you rarely encounter. Highly recommended!

Manual harvest for the award-winning Bolla wines

Bolla Winery was founded in 1883, and since then, the Cantina del Nonno, meaning "grandfather's cellar," has remained the heart of its long-standing tradition. The cellar has since expanded to include 1,700 barriques and 35 barrels. Bolla Winery still uses Slovenian oak barrels dating back to the winery's inception. Today, all award-winning Bolla wines are hand-harvested and made in Italy. The distinct flavors of the grapes are attributable to the unique climate, soil, and temperature of the region where they are grown. The goal is to capture these nuances so that you experience an authentic taste of Italy in every glass of Bolla wine.

Lots of patience for the Bolla Amarone Le Origini Riserva

Grapes are harvested by hand and dried on racks for four months. They are then pressed, followed by a seven-day cool maceration. The grapes then undergo slow fermentation for 25 days and are macerated again for five days at 24 degrees Celsius. Finally, the juice is aged for twelve months in 100 percent French oak barrels and then for 36 months in 100 percent Slovenian oak barrels. The wine rests in the bottle for nine months before release. Bolla's Amarone is magnificent, with aromas of cherry jam, vanilla, licorice, and cedar. The palate is wonderfully rounded and refined, with notes of chocolate, spices, and abundant black fruit. Not to mention the finish, long and full of abundant fruit. This Riserva is Bolla Amarone's flagship wine; with its very long aging, which varies depending on the vintage, it is the absolute best!
