The soil here is rich in loam and clay, ideal for Syrah and Mouvedre grapes. The Ogier Ventoux is made with the utmost care, and you can taste and smell it in this delicious white wine!

The quality of the Ogier Caves des Papes winery

The wine is produced by the renowned Ogier Caves des Papes winery in the wine-producing village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Ogier has been producing wine here since 1948. After acquiring several vineyards and acquiring the necessary viticultural expertise, the winery dedicated itself entirely to producing high-quality wine. The winery's beautiful Roman-style buildings are located in the cellars, which date back to the 20th century. In the cellars, which date back to the 20th century, the Ogier wines undergo traditional vinification, with further aging taking place in oak barrels.

The delicious aromas of Ogier Ventoux

The vineyards for this Ventoux wine are located in the south of the Rhône Valley, in the region of the famous Mont Ventoux. The region is over 2,000 years old and enjoys a Mediterranean climate with occasional strong, dry mistral winds, which often help prevent fungal diseases. This traditionally vinified wine has a purplish-red color in the glass, with beautiful aromas of black fruit such as blackberries and subtle scents of herbs like bay leaf and licorice. The palate is very smooth with refined flavors of black fruit. A hint of spice and some blackcurrant fruit are present on the back of the tongue and in the finish. This Venoux is suitable for virtually any occasion, but also pairs beautifully with light appetizers like carpaccio or with light game dishes and young cheeses.
