We were completely surprised when we took the first sip of this La Iaia Nuria Cava. Its soft and ripe flavor was unprecedented. But after a bit of research, we discovered that this Cava is made by grandmaster Pere Ventura. And that's certainly no stranger when it comes to sparkling wines from Spain. The vineyards for this Cava are located in the town of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Here, the local grape varieties Parellada, Macabeo, and Xarel-lo, from which this Cava is made, grow. Over the years, significant investment has been made in the vineyards of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia. Some have been replanted, which has significantly influenced the excellent quality of this Cava.

Made according to the traditional method

The grapes enjoy plenty of sunshine but also coolness. This mix of warmth and coolness is crucial for their development. The coolness comes from the wind, due to the vineyard's elevated position, and the sharp drop in nighttime temperatures contributes to the harvest. The grapes grow and develop slowly, drawing significant strength from the rich soil. Each bunch is harvested by hand at ideal ripeness and then transported to La Iaia Nuria. Here, the juice undergoes a traditional method, the same process as for Champagne. The bottles are then fermented with yeast and sugar and stored in La Iaia Nuria's cellars. The cava slowly develops its bubbles and unparalleled purity.

Full and very powerful this Nuria Cava Brut

After popping the Champagne cork from the Nuria Cava Brut bottle, it reveals a rich aroma of citrus fruit. In the glass, we see soft bubbles and a golden yellow color. With our noses shaking the glass, we notice pleasant notes of toasted bread, vanilla, apricots, and circus fruit. On the tongue, the fine bubbles create a pleasant sensation. Beautiful flavors of yellow and citrus fruit follow one another. On the back of the tongue, a pleasant freshness of grapefruit and mint leaves.
