The undisputed number one, this Pinot Grigio. A delicious wine that's a crowd-pleaser. Pinot Gris is the most common white wine in South Tyrol. And after tasting this wine, we understand why.

The high quality from South Tyrol

The Cantina Andrian winery is located on the South Tyrolean Wine Route in the Adige Valley. At approximately 285 meters above sea level, the winery's vineyards nestle around the village of Andrian. Founded in 1893, Cantina Andrian was the first cooperative winery in South Tyrol. The continuous development of its work, combined with diligence and intuition, continues to contribute to the production of unparalleled quality in South Tyrol. This ultimately led to its acquisition by the Terlan winery in 2008. Tradition, combined with dedication, passion, and connection to nature and viticulture, contribute to the further development of the wines for the future. The unique terroir is characterized by clayey limestone interspersed with white dolomite. The Mediterranean climate pampers the grapes on the eastern slopes with abundant sunshine. Rainfall is consistent year-round, and the wind, which is shallow due to the valley location, promotes healthy grape growth.

Six months of maturation for this Pinot Grigio

The grapes for Pinot Grigio from Cantina Andrian thrive in the mountains of South Tyrol on clayey limestone soils interspersed with white dolomite rock and Andrian porphyry. After harvest, the white wine is fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. It then matures for six months on the fine lees. The bouquet is fruity and reminiscent of ripe honeydew melons. There are also delicate floral notes. On the palate, the Cantina Andrian Pinot Grigio is juicy, soft, and elegant. The long and balanced finish is truly delightful. This Pinot Grigio pairs well with shellfish, vegetable dishes, and casseroles with tomatoes and ground meat.
