Traditional wines from Cecilia Beretta

Cecilia Beretta Winery is the pride of the Pasqua family and was founded in the early 1980s as an agricultural business. Its name comes from the magnificent Beretta villa built in the 7th century in Mizzole. Around the end of the 1940s, the Pasqua family acquired the Mizzole, Mattaranetta, and San Felice vineyards. The winery is inspired by innovation and the continuous improvement of the original aspects of the vine. Its primary goal is to rediscover the character of the traditional wines from Valpolicella and Soave. Now the focus of the family's quality wine aspirations, Cecilia Beretta is winning increasing critical acclaim for its top wines and recently received the coveted "Tre Bicchieri" (Italy's most prestigious wine award) for its Amarone Terre di Cariano, produced from esteemed vineyards in the heart of Valpolicella.

The vinification process of Cecilia Beretta Pinot Grigio

After rigorous selection, the harvested grapes undergo a soft pressing. The must is then clarified for 12 hours at a temperature of 8 to 10 degrees Celsius. The product is then fermented with selected yeasts at 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. Once this stage is complete, the wine is stored in stainless steel tanks until bottling. Pinot Grigio is a fragrant, fruity, and elegant wine, yet not without structure. Its color is yellow with greenish highlights. On the nose, it has floral aromas reminiscent of acacia blossoms, with hints of pear and apricot. The palate is complex and intense, with excellent harmony.
