The German winery Steffen specializes in German grape varieties, especially white ones. However, their red wines are also well worth a try. Steffen is located in the heart of the Mosel region, in the picturesque town of Trittenheim. Since 1794, the finest wines have left the Steffen cellars here. With this Spatburgunder, they are raising the reputation of this German wine region to a new high. One sip of Steffen ST 28 Spatburgunder and you'll be convinced of Steffen's uncompromising quality.
The vineyards of Steffen winery
The vineyards of the Mosel are world-famous. Who hasn't driven along this mighty river, with hundreds upon hundreds of vines on the steep slopes on either side? This distinctive viticulture is unique in German winemaking. However, Spatburgunder grapes grow a little further south, in Baden. Over the years, Steffen has also planted several vineyards in this region. Spatburgunder is a truly German grape variety. However, it is also known internationally as Pinot Noir. The aroma and taste of Steffen ST 28 Spatburgunder
After harvest, the beautiful bunches of Spatburgunder grapes are fermented. After fermentation, the juice is aged in both stainless steel and oak barrels. This gives Steffen ST 28 Spatburgunder the best of both worlds: complexity and freshness. The aroma of the red wine is intense and aromatic. You'll recognize dark, black fruit, light spices, and even a hint of violet. Pleasant and appealing. The taste is robust and powerful, bursting with fruit such as cherries, blackberries, and currants. A subtle touch of soft spices completes the Steffen ST 28 Spatburgunder.Product details
