What characterizes Verdeca from Salento? It is a grape that combines fresh acidity with a slightly savory undertone, making the wine both lively and balanced.

This white wine falls under the Salento IGT and comes from a region between the Ionian and Adriatic Seas.

Origin and vineyards

The vineyards are located at approximately 100 meters above sea level in Salento.

Grape and vinification

Verdeca – Salento, Puglia
Verdeca is an indigenous white grape from Puglia known for its fresh acidity and aromatic subtlety.

The harvest takes place in the last ten days of September. After destemming, the grapes remain in contact with the skins for several hours at a low temperature to enhance their aromatic potential. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at 15 °C for several days, followed by five months of aging in stainless steel.

Character and style

In the glass, this Verdeca displays a straw-yellow color. On the palate, the wine is balanced with savory and fresh acidity, compensated by ripe fruit and a long finish.

Serve around 10–12 °C to best appreciate its freshness and balance.
