Nestled between the dazzling Mediterranean Sea and the mighty Pyrenees lies the 140 hectares of vineyards of the Lafage winery. This winery is a family business, now run by the sixth generation. The Lafage family has been producing wine here since 1798. The wines are recognizable by their purity and incredible quality. Year after year, the Lafage winery wins numerous awards, including Lafage Miraflors Lafabuleuse, which received an impressive 90 points from Robert Parker. That's remarkable for a wine in this price range.
The composition of Lafage Miraflors Lafabuleuse
Jean-Marc Lafage, the current owner of Domaine Lafage, has planted primarily local grape varieties, such as Grenache and Roussanne. You won't find many familiar grape varieties in this region. Jean-Marc wants to preserve the area's special identity. Lafage Miraflors Lafabuleuse is an ode to these local grape varieties. Five grape varieties—Grenache Noir, Muscat, Roussanne, Vermentino, and Viognier—create a heavenly white wine. The blend is almost perfect. The best of each grape is brought out in Lafage Miraflors Lafabuleuse. Every year, after the grapes are harvested in the Roussillon vineyards, the winemaker sets out to find the ideal blend. That's true craftsmanship!Impressions of Lafage Miraflors Lafabuleuse
Elegance everywhere. That's the best way to describe this white wine from Domaine Lafage. The aroma is sultry and opulent. You smell a hint of tropical fruit. Attractive and pleasant. As soon as you take a sip, the first thing you notice is that Lafage Miraflors Lafabuleuse has a light mousse. We can't call it a fizz, not even a tingle. The best description is a kind of tingling sensation that rolls around your tongue. Pleasant and exciting. Something different. A very slight sweetness gives Lafage Miraflors Lafabuleuse even more class. Fruity, friendly, and incredibly refined. We were surprised by this hit from Domaine Lafage.Product details
