Weissburgunder is the German version of Pinot Blanc. This grape guarantees soft white wines that combine suppleness and freshness. This lemon-yellow Louis Guntrum Weissburgunder is no exception. A beautiful balance of ripe fruit and crisp acidity. Try it, and you'll enjoy it!

A winery with a clear vision

The Guntrum family has been producing wine since 1648. Since 1923, they have owned the site on Rheinallee. Their vineyards are situated in the most beautiful locations in the area, where they grow only traditional grape varieties. The current owner is Konstantin Guntrum. A true family business indeed. Guntrum's Rieslings are praised by wine critics, but the Burgunder varieties and Dornfelder are also well-known to a wide audience. The estate has over 60 hectares of vineyards, including the small Monopole Vineyard, Schutzenhutte near Oppenheimer, and a vineyard in the renowned Niersteiner Olberg. From very dry to deliciously sweet, Louis Guntrum wines are enjoyed in over 80 countries worldwide. Since Louis Konstantin Gruntum took the helm, the winery has strived for excellence, perfection, and the expression of terroir in its wines. Growing organic grapes, albeit uncertified, is a given for the family. Guntrum's masterpieces are Rieslings, both dry and fruity. Konstantin has been president of the Nierstein Winegrowers Association since 2009. He is also a member of the Rheinhessen Wine Guild and the Conf'rie St. Etienne d'Alsace at Château de Kientzheim.

The scent and taste of Louis Guntrum Weissburgunder

The grapes come from various vineyards in the Rheinhessen region of Germany. The vineyards, primarily composed of loam, are located on the hilltops. The grapes are hand-picked. After a (gentle) pressing, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. The aroma of this Louis Guntrum Weissburgunder reveals notes of pear, gooseberry, and apple. A fresh, fruity wine with a beautiful balance between ripe fruit and crisp acidity.
