Every so often, we're fortunate enough to purchase gems from a winery. Among them is this Bernardus Chardonnay from Rosella's Vineyard. Only 90 bottles of this delicious wine are imported to the Netherlands each year, and a total of 200 cases are produced for worldwide distribution. The grapes for this Chardonnay come from a single vineyard, Rosella's Vineyard. These grapes were planted by current winemaker Gary Franscioni.

The Bernardus winery has been a staple in our extensive selection for years. Each Bernardus wine is a true gem, making it indispensable. The Bernardus winery was founded by Mr. Ben Pon. Indeed, that sounds quite Dutch. Mr. Pon was an importer of fine car brands in the Netherlands for many years. This bon vivant wanted to drastically change his life and founded this fantastic winery, prioritizing the production of premium wines. And he succeeded!

This exceptional white wine from Bernardus has been aged in oak for an impressive 15 months, giving it its unique character. The color of this beautiful wine is golden yellow with a deep golden sparkle. The aroma immediately made us crave a fruit smoothie of apple, banana, and peach! We also discovered delicious aromas of vanilla and oak. The taste is very distinct and magnificent. Admittedly a wine for the experienced wine drinker, but what a gem! Very rich and creamy with pleasant nuances of ripe yellow fruit, apple pie, cinnamon, cloves, and a touch of toast. Don't drink this Bernardus Chardonnay Rosella's Vineyard too cold! Put your feet up and enjoy!
