2022 was an excellent vintage for Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with a barrel rating of 92-94 points by Robert Parker. Conditions were very favorable, resulting in wines with great potential and structure.

Opus One 2022 Napa Valley

A Napa Valley icon, born from the unique collaboration between Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. The first vintage was produced in 1979 and officially announced as a joint venture in 1981. The name, chosen by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, evokes a musical masterpiece and underscores the ambition behind this cuvée. Snippet question: who leads the house today? Vineyards and region

The grapes come from the United States, California, within the Napa Valley appellation. This is where Opus One originated as a beacon of top quality in a region that gives Bordeaux grapes their own distinctive expression.

Vinification and maturation

Opus One operates with a cohesion between vineyard and cellar that has been honed since 2004 under the direction of Michael Silacci. The estate was officially launched in 1981 and has since become a benchmark for classic, long-lived Napa blends.
