Modern winemaking at Ventisquero

There are two types of wineries in Chile: those that have been involved in viticulture for decades, and the new, recently established generation. Vina Ventisquero falls into the latter category. They produce wine using the latest techniques and state-of-the-art equipment. Ventisquero began as an ambitious project by Gonzalo Vial and was built in the Maipo Valley, around which the first vineyards were planted. Shortly thereafter, vineyards in the Casablanca Valley and Apalta Valley were added. And since 2001, we have been able to enjoy these Chilean wines. From the very beginning, respect for nature has been paramount. They operate in an environmentally friendly manner, by significantly limiting water use, offsetting CO2 emissions from transport, and preserving the environment as much as possible when planting new vineyards. This approach made them the first in Chile to receive the "Sustainable Wine of Chile" green certification, setting a benchmark for modern winemaking in Chile. Harvesting the grapes is also meticulously handled. After harvesting, the grapes are rigorously selected and then destemmed. Only the finest juice is suitable, thus ensuring the winery's high quality.

What does Ventisquero Clasico Sauvignon Blanc taste like?

The Sauvignon Blanc Clasico is a crisp white wine with wonderful fruity aromas. We immediately detected notes of passion fruit and gooseberries, along with some citrus and freshly mown grass. The palate is refreshing with abundant notes of lime, grapefruit, and passion fruit. This Ventisquero Clasico Sauvignon Blanc is delicious with a salad or as an aperitif!
