Perdeberg Cellar The Vineyard Collection Chardonnay comes from Perdeberg Cellar, a winery renowned for its high-quality wines. The winery benefits from diverse microclimates and soil types, which are conducive to wine production. The Vineyard Collection wines are crafted from specific vineyard blocks, each with a unique character derived from the specific combination of grape variety and terroir. The wines are produced in an elegant, New World style, making them perfect for a variety of social occasions.
The vinification process of Perdeberg Cellar The Vineyard Collection Chardonnay
The grapes for Perdeberg Cellar The Vineyard Collection Chardonnay were hand-harvested in mid-February in the early morning when the weather was still cool. The soils consist of a combination of decomposed granite and sandstone. These vineyards receive little to no irrigation and rely on natural rainfall. These growing conditions result in small berries and concentrated fruit flavors in the grapes. At the winery, the grapes are then destemmed and left to rest on the skins for several hours. Seventy percent of the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure, concentrated fruit characteristics of the grapes. An additional 30 percent is fermented in a 5,000-liter French oak foudre. The wine then matures on the lees for five months before being blended and bottled. The character of Perdeberg Cellar The Vineyard Collection Chardonnay
When tasting this wine, aromatic hints of ripe stone fruit, such as peach and apricot, emerge. Furthermore, there are enticing notes of juicy white pear, vanilla, and butterscotch on the nose. At first sip, this Chardonnay reveals its well-structured character. The wine offers a rich tasting experience with a soft and creamy texture. The palate is pampered by the flavors of ripe stone fruit, which blend harmoniously with the vanilla and butterscotch notes detected on the nose. This combination of fruity and creamy flavors gives the wine a full and layered dimension.Product details
