Von Blumen, the renowned winery, embodies passion, quality, and artisanal winemaking. Located in the enchanting Alto Adige region of Northern Italy, the winery carries a rich tradition and heritage in the wine world. In 2013, Roberta, Cristina, and Giuseppe Fugatti enthusiastically joined forces and founded Von Blumen. Inspired by the northern Alto Adige region, they embraced the challenge of creating wines of exceptional quality. With dedication and craftsmanship, they allow the unique characteristics of the region to shine through in their wines, and their passion drives them to continually strive for wine excellence. Von Blumen Lagrein originates from the sunny vineyards around Pochi di Salorno, located in the beautiful Alto Adige region of northern Italy. The vineyards are situated slightly lower in the valley, ideal for ripening the Lagrein grapes. The grapes are hand-picked with the utmost care, selecting only the finest and ripest bunches. After gentle crushing and destemming, the grapes undergo controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where the juice remains in contact with the skins. This ensures optimal extraction of flavor and color. The wine is pumped over daily to promote this extraction. After fermentation, the wine is transferred to large wooden barrels, where it ages for several months.
