The Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic is a paragon of refinement and elegance. If you've ever dreamed of tasting the essence of Alsace in a glass of wine, this is the wine for you. This Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic celebrates how the aromatic potential of the Gewürztraminer grape reaches its ultimate peak in Alsace. Its flavor is subtly spicy, velvety smooth, and each sip feels like an angel dancing on your tongue. The story of the Hugel family in Alsace dates back to the thirteenth century, with a history that unfolds over time, marked by perseverance, passion, and dedication to wine.

The Rich History of the Hugel Family and Gewurztraminer

After the devastation of the Thirty Years' War, Hans Ulrich Hugel settled in the charming town of Riquewihr. In 1638, Hugel rose to prominence in the town and soon took over the helm of the prestigious brewers' guild. His legacy was cemented when his son built a house on Rue des Cordiers, where the family crest was engraved above the door. This emblem remains the company logo to this day. Fast forward to the present day, and the eleventh generation, represented by Jean Philippe and Marc Hugel, continues the tradition of crafting the remarkable Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic.

The Exceptional Vineyards of Hugel Gewurztraminer Classic

Riquewihr has been renowned for its exquisite wines for centuries, and the Hugel family is a prominent player in this. Their 25 hectares of vineyards in Riquewihr, a significant portion of which lies within the Grand Cru region, are a testament to their dedication to quality. This is where the Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic is born. To ensure the quality of their wines, including the Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic, no artificial fertilizers are used, yields are kept low, and the vines are on average thirty years old.

The Taste Experience of Hugel Gewurztraminer Classic

The Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic isn't just a wine; it's a tasting experience. The aromas of mango, lychee, pear, and pineapple invite you in, while the palate reveals a symphony of spicy, fruity, and floral notes. Think pineapple, mango, freesia, jasmine, and a subtle hint of exotic spices like curry and saffron. This wine is both exotic and refined, making it the perfect accompaniment to dishes like smoked fish, white meat, and Asian delicacies. Savor the Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic and celebrate Alsace's winemaking tradition.
