Valenciso Reserva 10 Anos Despues Rioja is a top-notch Rioja! We are thrilled to be able to sell this wine. This red wine is crafted from grapes grown on a high-altitude plot of 75-year-old vines. This Reserva 10 Anos is made entirely from Tempranillo grapes grown on chalky soils around Haro in the Rioja Alta region.

Valenciso was founded in 1998. The Valenciso winery was founded in 1998, its name resulting from a blend of the surnames of its founders, Luís Valentín and Carmen Enciso. Assisted by agronomist Julián Palacios, the winery team, now consisting of six people, produces elegant and fine wines that emphasize the fruit's presence above the wood. The vineyards and cellar are located in Rioja Alta, Spain. The cornerstone of the estate is mature, low-yielding vineyards. Valenciso is all about aromatic complexity, much like Burgundy or Riojas of the past. Reserve aging takes place in French oak barriques to further enhance this elegant character of the wines. Tempranillo is a top-quality grape planted as a favorite in many countries. It has many facets. Winemakers can use it for everything from Rosado to Gran Reserva. This grape also boasts exceptional aging potential. And this Valenciso Reserva 10 Years Despues Rioja is a prime example.

The unique taste of Valenciso Reserva 10 Anos Despues Rioja

The wine matures for five years in cement tanks, after which it rests for forty months in lightly toasted oak barrels. This beautiful and prolonged aging results in a true celebration! The aroma offers very pleasant aromas of dried red fruit, chocolate, spices, and vanilla. The taste is full, rich, and powerful. A robust wine to truly savor. Beautiful nuances of black fruit and spices swirl through the mouth. The finish with fine, present tannins completes this red wine.
