This red wine from Roeno is made from the Teroldego grape, grown in the best plots of Vallagarina. It's an indigenous Italian grape variety, still mainly found in Trentino. It's related to Lagrein, Syrah, and Marzemino.

A passion for wine growing for generations

The Roeno winery is located between the provinces of Verona and Trentino in the municipality of Belluno, near Lake Garda. It was founded fifty years ago by Rolando Fugatti and his wife Giuliana and is now jointly run by their children Roberta, Cristina, and Giuseppe. The founders have succeeded in passing on their passion for winemaking and their hospitality, which is expressed in an adjoining restaurant and guesthouse, to the next generation. After the siblings took over the winery, Giuseppe asked his childhood friend Mirko Maccami, a successful consultant for several wineries in the area, to take on the responsibility for vinification. Together with his sister Christina, also a notable oenologist, Mirko works with dedication and attention to detail to ensure the winery's success. The two make a strong team, and their wines are truly outstanding.

A powerful and fresh wine from Roeno

After manual harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with skin maceration. The grapes are regularly pumped over to ensure sufficient color and tannin development. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months in French oak. The aroma is intense and fruity with notes of red and black berry. The palate of this I Dossi Teroldego Vallagarina Roeno is full-bodied and powerful with a fresh character. Beautiful flavors of red and black fruit, such as blackberries, cherries, and currants, complemented by subtle spices and vanilla. It pairs wonderfully with red meat and spicy, aged cheeses.
