The 2023 vintage in the Languedoc has received an excellent rating of 94 points on the Robert Parker Vintage Chart. This indicates an outstanding vintage with approachable wines of exceptionally high quality.

Bis by Biscaye Rosé, a rosé from the Languedoc that's absolutely on par with a good Provence rosé. On the face of it, this rosé already boasts a beautiful soft pink color—excellent, that promises something! The Biscaye family has been making wine for over a hundred years, and this is clearly reflected in the pure and powerful style of wines. The winery is currently led by winemaker Emmanuel Biscaye, the fifth generation, who learned the trade from his father and grandfather. So much expertise is available that Biscaye wines are loved worldwide.

The old vineyard of Bis by Biscaye rosé

The Syrah vineyards for this rosé are nestled in the beautiful hills of the Languedoc. The old vines produce a magnificent, full harvest. This is partly due to the warm climate in which the bunches hang. Plenty of sunshine enriches the grapes with sugars and rich aromas and flavors. To ensure the grapes develop smoothly, the vineyards are cooled by the wind and night. This helps them retain their freshness, a characteristic that is clearly reflected in the style of this Bis by Biscaye rosé. The grapes are harvested early in the morning and transported in small crates to the Biscaye press. This prevents damage to the bunches and preserves their freshness.

The smell and taste of the Biscaye rosé

Pouring this rosé releases delightful aromas. Even without tasting it, it's a rosé to our liking. The beautiful aromas of flowers, raspberries, and strawberries already suggest a lot about the flavor. The soft taste of this Bis by Biscaye Rosé Syrah is completely rounded, with plenty of red fruit and a gentle acidity. The Syrah grape adds a subtle touch of spice, creating a beautiful body. The finish is uplifting, very fruity, and wonderfully refreshing.
