For this red Barbera D'Alba Le Masche Barrique, Bel Colle uses the oldest vineyards available. While the old vineyards don't produce many grapes, those harvested are of unparalleled quality. The Barbera D'Alba grapes are harvested entirely by hand with the utmost care, ensuring only the finest juice reaches the bottle.
The main winery in Cuneo
Bel Colle is a winery located in the municipality of Verduno, in the province of Cuneo, in the Piedmont region. It is one of the most important wineries in this province. The vineyards enjoy a beautiful southwest exposure, which, combined with the microclimate, produces perfectly ripe grapes with a unique character. The winery was founded in 1977 by three brothers. In 2015, Luca Bosio purchased it, representing the third generation of his family to manage vineyards and produce wine in Piedmont. The company is known for producing delicate wines with exceptional elegance and a spicy, floral character. Bosio has modernized the company over the years, while always remaining true to its ancient traditions. What does Bel Colle Barbera D'Alba Le Masche Barrique taste like?
After the Barbera grapes are harvested and carefully fermented, it is transferred to small barrels to complete the process. The juice is aged in oak for 18 months in the Bel Colle cellars. During this period, this red Barbera D'Alba Le Masche Barrique fully develops, making it a truly exceptional wine. This Barbera erupts ruby red in the glass, and as soon as you pour it, you immediately smell the beautiful bouquet of herbs, spices, and mulberry. It has a dry and full flavor, with just the right amount of acidity. The palate is full-bodied with beautiful notes of fresh red and black fruit, light spices, a touch of vanilla, a rich floral aroma, and a long finish. A versatile wine that pairs beautifully with game dishes and mature cheeses.Product details
