The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The Ardèche province will likely ring a bell for many, especially thanks to the thousands of tourists who discover this stunning region each year. The eponymous river meanders through the landscape. The climate is surprisingly pleasant, and the people seem much friendlier than in other French regions. It's often forgotten that the Ardèche is also a renowned wine region. While it may not enjoy the popularity of Burgundy or Bordeaux, the wines that leave the cellars in the Ardèche are of exceptional quality.

The foundation for this Ardeche Viognier Gres du Trias is Vignerons Ardechois. This cooperative of winegrowers was founded in 1967. Several winegrowers recognized the benefits of collaboration over 50 years ago. Vignerons Ardechois has since become a major player in the French wine industry. Currently, over 1,500 winegrowers are members of this cooperative. Thanks to their large grape harvest, expertise, and manpower, they can produce quality wines affordably. This Ardeche Viognier Gres du Trias is living proof. A fine wine that showcases the sky-high quality of France.

The base for this white wine is the Viognier grape. This grape has become particularly famous through the Côte du Rhone. However, more and more wine countries and wine regions have discovered this sultry white grape. In the Ardeche, for example, many hectares have been planted with this friendly grape. And not without success. We consider this Ardeche Viognier Gres du Trias one of the finest white wines from the Ardeche. The aroma is a broad, vibrant bouquet of apricots, peaches, passion fruit, and a hint of cream. The taste is just as sensational as the aroma. You'll taste ripe yellow fruit and soft white fruit. Complex notes of vanilla, wood, and minerals will bring a smile to your face. Ardeche Viognier Gres du Trias has a fine, slightly thick structure on the palate, making the finish seem to linger forever.
