Founded in 1898, Cantina Tramin Kellerei boasts a long history. It's a cooperative of the highest caliber, with more than three hundred winegrowers affiliated with Tramin today. Located in the South Tyrol/Alto Adige wine region in northern Italy, the winery has reached an even higher level since the arrival of winemaker Willi Stürz. With his knowledge and experience, Willi further improved the winemaking process using modern techniques. He also worked hard in the vineyards, resulting in even better harvests and a higher-quality final wine. It's no wonder that Cantina Tramin Kellerei has won numerous awards in recent years.

The old Sauvignon Blanc vineyard of Tramin

The vineyards in South Tyrol/Alto Adige are perfectly situated for cultivating top-quality Sauvignon Blanc. The climate in the vineyards is unique, offering abundant sunshine and a very cool climate. This coolness comes from the fresh mountain breeze that blows through the vineyards. The Sauvignon Blanc bunches also benefit from the cooling effect of falling nighttime temperatures. This coolness preserves the freshness of the bunches and contributes to a calm and even growing season. Once the Sauvignon Blanc grapes have reached full ripeness, they are harvested by hand, vineyard by vineyard. This process takes place early in the morning to protect the harvested Sauvignon Blanc grapes from oxidation.

What does Tramin Sauvignon Blanc taste like?

When the grapes arrive at Cantina Tramin Kellerei, they are placed on sorting tables for a second selection. Only the finest Sauvignon Blanc bunches are pressed, and this is clearly reflected in the pure style of this white wine. On the nose, this Tramin Sauvignon Blanc is delicate with aromas of apple, citrus, lime, and gooseberry. The palate is beautifully crisp and dry, revealing flavors of gooseberry, citrus, and mown grass. But above all, this Tramin Sauvignon Blanc is refined and very explosive. TOP
