Adulation's Zinfandel vineyards are located in the heart of California's wine country. Here, the old, thick trunks grow in soils of clay, sand, and chalk, which Zinfandel loves immensely. The soil gives the bunches sufficient strength, and this, combined with the perfect climate, makes for a fantastic harvest. This allows for the hand-harvesting of beautiful bunches. For this quality, only the finest Zinfandel bunches are needed. The bunches are transported in small crates to Adulation's wine press.
When the Zinfandel bunches arrive, they are inspected again and gently pressed. After this, the entire wine is aged in oak for several months. The oak is used in used American oak, some of which is new and unused. This makes the juice fuller and more aromatic.
Upon pouring, we first see a beautiful deep red color with a purple sheen. It has a rich aroma, and our nose is reminded of black fruit, spices, tobacco, leather, and a touch of dark cocoa. This beautiful, robust nose continues into the taste, as the palate is pampered by blackberries and cherries, along with a touch of spice and cedarwood. On the cheeks, we encounter some sweet spices, a touch of vanilla, and toffee. The finish is long and very balanced.
