This is often a favourite dessert wine for me. Not too expensive, sweet enough, something a bit different (surprises people), and pairs well with many different desserts. Also not necessarily like drinking pure syrup.

Elysium Black Muscat 0.75CL is the result of two Americans who traded their busy, hectic jobs for the life of a winegrower. Andrew and Laurel founded this winery in 1975 in Madera, a small town in the heartland of California, roughly between the two world cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles. For nearly half a century, they invested and innovated in the winery. This is now paying off, including this sensational dessert wine.

The vineyards of Elysium Black Muscat

Elysium Black Muscat 0.75CL is made from Black Muscat. This is a dark Muscat grape, often found in dessert wines. The vineyards are located deep inland, so the sea has no influence. Here, the region is dry, warm, and the sun works overtime. This is ideal for Black Muscat, as it doesn't tolerate too much cold, especially later in the season. The grapes are carefully picked and undergo a rigorous process. After all, only the finest and best bunches are selected for Elysium Black Muscat 0.75CL. After fermentation, the dessert wine is lightly aged in French oak for approximately three months.
