The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

After the huge success of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carnivor is now releasing a full-bodied Zinfandel. And yes, they certainly know how to make successful wines in California! California is best known for its wines made from the Zinfandel grape. It's no wonder Carnivor wanted to make a wine from this grape as well. With its renowned quality and this new grape for Carnivor, the winery has once again delivered a top-notch wine! A ripe red wine with an excellent price-quality ratio.

The vineyards are located in the beautiful and enchanting Lodi wine region. The warm days and cool nights make this a fantastic climate for a top-notch Zinfandel. The vines thrive in these conditions, allowing the winemaker to produce full, powerful bunches. The harvest for this Carnivor Zinfandel, like that of Cabernet Sauvignon, is carried out entirely by hand. This ensures a strict selection of the grapes. As you can imagine, only the finest grapes are good enough for Carnivor wines. After the hand harvest, the Zinfandel is aged in oak. The barrels used are French and American oak. By combining these two, this red Carnivor Zinfandel becomes soft, round, and highly refined.

The result is certainly impressive and rivals its big brother. The color is deep dark red with a purple rim. The aroma offers a warm, rich, full blackberry aroma, caramel, and toasted oak. This full, powerful style continues on the palate, where dark black fruit complemented by chocolate is the first impression. On the back of the tongue, this Zinfandel also offers nuances of stewed fruit, caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak. In short, another wine to rave about, it's so delicious!

This Carnivor wine is also perfect for food pairing. As the name suggests, this wine is meant to be paired with meat! For this Carnivor Zinfandel, we're thinking of poultry dishes, pâté, a delicious roast, or a cozy evening with friends or family enjoying a generous gourmet meal. Prefer to serve pasta with this? That's no problem with this fantastic red wine either!
