The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Anyone who appreciates a refined and full-bodied Chardonnay will love this White Gorilla! A delicious French white wine with superb character. And it's no wonder it comes from Domaine Guinand. Thanks to its ideal conditions, this winery can produce exceptional grapes and thus produce high-quality wines. Enjoy this full-bodied wine with fruity and warm aromas.

Domaine Guinand, a winery located in the commune of Saint-Christol, a few kilometers from Montpellier, France, is run by the eighth generation of the Guinand family, Serge and Sophie. They took over the business in 2017 and have since placed a strong emphasis on producing authentic wines that respect the terroir and strive for sustainable agricultural practices. With a total of 65 hectares of vineyards, the Guinand family has a significant area dedicated to grape cultivation. This area is located approximately 25 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, which ensures a cooling breeze through the vineyards. The Chardonnay grapes are grown on clay and limestone soils. After harvest, the grapes are pressed immediately to extract the juice without prolonged contact with the skins. The juice is then fermented at a low temperature, allowing the winemakers considerable control. The fruity aromas and freshness are the most important elements during fermentation. After fermentation, the wine is aged on lie for four months.

The result is a refined and full-bodied wine with a subtle character. The wine has a straw-yellow color in the glass. The nose reveals striking notes of very ripe fruit and some buttery notes. The palate is distinctive, with a beautiful balance between fruity and savory notes. An elegant wine with a rich and full mouthfeel. The buttery notes provide ample depth and texture. This versatile Chardonnay pairs perfectly with fish dishes and white meat.
