The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Gosset Grande Reserve Brut, a name that sounds like a promise of exceptional quality, is the pride of the renowned Champagne house Gosset. Located in the charming village of Aÿ, this historic house, nestled in the rolling hills of Champagne, boasts one of the deepest cellars in the region. Here, in the serene silence of these limestone sanctuaries, Gosset Grande Reserve Brut is given the time and space to mature to perfection, for at least four years. This careful process reflects Gosset's philosophy that time is an essential component of quality.

The story of Gosset, the oldest winery in Champagne with roots dating back to 1584, begins with founder Pierre Gosset, then mayor of Aÿ. Over the centuries, Gosset has built a reputation synonymous with the very best in Champagne. Although Gosset did not produce sparkling wines as we know them today in those early days, the house has developed into a leading producer of fine champagnes. With their chalky soils, the Gosset vineyards offer ideal conditions for growing grapes rich in natural aromas. This is further accentuated by the avoidance of malolactic fermentation, giving the Gosset Grande Reserve Brut a complex style with finesse and superb balance.

Every bottle of Gosset Champagne is an ode to tradition, a nod to the elegant champagne bottles of the 18th century, and the Gosset Grande Reserve Brut is no exception. The carefully crafted blend of 43% Chardonnay, 42% Pinot Noir, and 15% Pinot Meunier results in a champagne of unparalleled complexity and a memorable finish. Aromas of red berries, light wheat, dried fruit, and subtle hints of gingerbread combine to create a refined aroma. When tasting the Gosset Grande Reserve Brut, a palette of chocolate, pear, toast, and fresh citrus unfolds. The Chardonnay contributes fruity nuances, while the Pinot Noir provides a firm structure. It is a sublime experience, with each glass of Gosset Grande Reserve Brut telling a story of tradition and finesse.

With every sip of Gosset Grande Reserve Brut, we celebrate not only Gosset's rich history but also its commitment to sustainable winemaking. The house is known for its respect for both the terroir and the sustainable methods it uses to ensure the integrity of its champagne. Gosset Grande Reserve Brut is more than just a drink; it's an experience that reflects a profound appreciation for craft and the environment. Gosset's ecological approach ensures that every bottle of Gosset Grande Reserve Brut is not only a delight for the senses but also for the soul. With Gosset Grande Reserve Brut, we raise a glass to a future where luxury and responsibility go hand in hand.
