Languedoc lacking quality? Those days are over. It's true that a few decades ago, the wines from this southern French region lacked inspiration. They were primarily mass-produced. Vast quantities of wine were produced without regard for quality. Fortunately, the tide has turned! Many wineries have broadened their horizons and come to appreciate the region's quality. By planting vineyards in the right locations, investing, and daring to innovate, Languedoc is experiencing tremendous growth. Bisou d'Or is living proof of this. A delicious wine at a fantastic price. Because really: this quality for this price? It's almost unbelievable.
Bisou d'or Merlot comes from the sun-drenched Languedoc region. The area is known for its very hot summers, resulting in very low yields per hectare. But the wine produced there is outstanding. Just like this Bisou d'or, it's made from whole Merlot grapes. The aroma reveals rich notes of blackberry, currant, and cherry, along with a hint of caramel. The taste is full and creamy, very, very soft and refined. Lovely hints of Merlot! A wonderfully ripe finish!
