The Stefani

Buy or order Stefani wine

De Stefani is an authentic family-run winery located in Northern Italy, not far from the tourist hotspot of Venice. The winery's history dates back to 1866, when its founder, Valeriano De Stefani, began cultivating grapes on the beautiful hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Gradually, Valeriano shaped the winery, which is still family-run today. The fourth generation, Allessandro De Stefani, is currently in charge of the winery's day-to-day operations.

An Italian wine from De Stefani

The location of De Stefani's vineyards is unique. The terroir boasts a unique combination of clay, silt, and special minerals. This is partly due to the Dolomites, which are just 50 kilometers from the vineyard. In addition, the Adriatic Sea provides the vineyards with ample freshness. This unique combination has ensured that De Stefani wines are of the highest quality for decades.

The Stefani has the best wines

The current owner, Alessandro De Stefani, has built the winery into what it is today: a leading winery with superb wines that are the envy of fellow winemakers. He has also ensured that it has become a respected winery worldwide. De Stefani wines are currently available in over 40 countries, with the Netherlands being a significant market. They have been featured prominently in our webshop for many years.

Why buy De Stefani wines

Stefani wines guarantee high-quality wine. Every sip is a celebration. The selection is extensive. For example, De Stefani Pinot Grigio has been a huge sales success for years. Or how about De Stefani Venis? This white wine is named after the important and renowned cultural city of Venice. It's a blend of perhaps the two most famous white grape varieties: Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

Many points for De Stefani Stefen 1624

All De Stefani wines are fantastic, but there's one wine that stands head and shoulders above the rest: the De Stefani Stefen 1624. This flagship red wine is a superb Marzemino grape. It's not just our vinologists who are big fans of this De Stefani red. International wine journalists are falling over themselves to heap praise on this wine. Robert Parker, for example, awarded it 92 points, while James Suckling awarded it an impressive 95 points. The De Stefani Stefen 1624 received the highest rating from Luca Maroni, a leading Italian wine journalist who awarded it an impressive 97 points.
