De Stefani is an authentic family-run winery located in Northern Italy, not far from the tourist hotspot of Venice. The winery's history dates back to 1866, when its founder, Valeriano De Stefani, began cultivating grapes on the beautiful hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Gradually, Valeriano shaped the winery, which is still family-run today. The fourth generation, Allessandro De Stefani, is currently in charge of the winery's day-to-day operations.
An Italian wine from De Stefani
The location of De Stefani's vineyards is unique. The terroir boasts a unique combination of clay, silt, and special minerals. This is partly due to the Dolomites, which are just 50 kilometers from the vineyard. In addition, the Adriatic Sea provides the vineyards with ample freshness. This unique combination has ensured that De Stefani wines are of the highest quality for decades.
The Stefani has the best wines
The current owner, Alessandro De Stefani, has built the winery into what it is today: a leading winery with superb wines that are the envy of fellow winemakers. He has also ensured that it has become a respected winery worldwide. De Stefani wines are currently available in over 40 countries, with the Netherlands being a significant market. They have been featured prominently in our webshop for many years.
