Family. That's what Haute Cabriere stands for. The current von Arnim family is at the helm and passionately ensures that the centuries-old traditions continue to live on in their wines. This passion is also evident in Haute Cabriere's superb South African wines.

The South African wines of Haute Cabriere

The name alone, Haute Cabriere, reveals the history of this winery. It was the French Huguenots who laid the foundation for this winery. It all began over three centuries ago, in 1694. The French Huguenot, Pierre Jourdan, established a farm in the bustling Franschhoek Valley. From that moment on, Pierre Jourdan Winery became a household name in the South African wine landscape. In 1982, Haute Cabriere joined, and since then, both wineries have become one.

The Von Arnim family has owned the Haute Cabriere Pierre Jourdan winery since 1982. They launched Haute Cabriere wines as a tribute to the French Huguenots. The renowned winery is now under the leadership of the second generation, Takuan von Arnim. His passion for innovation and tradition is remarkable. Family is also important to this man. Every bottle of Haute Cabriere therefore features the unique red and white family crest.

The vineyards of Haute Cabriere

Haute Cabriere is situated in an old 17th-century farmhouse. This farmhouse is located in what we consider South Africa's most beautiful wine region, the Franschhoek Valley. Many promising names call Franschhoek home, such as Rupert & Rothschild, Boekenhoutskloof, Boschendal, and Chamonix. These are names that make wine lovers swoon. We can safely say that the Franschhoek Valley vineyards have a positive influence on the wines of Haute Cabriere and Pierre Jourdan.

The finest wines from South Africa

Haute Cabriere Pierre Jourdan has a magnificent selection. No standard wines, but even slightly unconventional glasses. Nothing is standard, that's what makes these South African wines so beautiful. Just look at the showpiece, the classic Haute Cabriere Chardonnay Pinot Noir. This white wine is made from both white and red grapes. Incredibly unique. The winery also has a wonderful selection of sparkling wines, such as Pierre Jourdan Brut and Pierre Jourdan Belle Rosé.
