Buy or order Hensel wine

A young and dynamic company. At less than forty years old, the namesake of this winery, Thomas Hensel, is a very young winemaker. However, thanks to his age, he has a fresh perspective. A new perspective. With a clear commitment to quality. As a result, Hensel's wines have quickly captivated both consumers and the gastronomy world!

The German wines of Hensel

Weingut Hensel is located in the small town of Bad Dürkheim, just west of Mannheim. This town is best known for its annual wine festival. It also boasts the world's largest wine barrel. With a capacity of 1.7 million liters, this barrel is primarily used for catering. Wine is therefore inextricably linked to Bad Dürkheim.

Weingut Hensel owns 17 hectares of vineyards around Bad Dürkheim. These vineyards are located in the Palatinate region, considered one of Germany's finest. Wine connoisseurs believe that Palatinate can easily compete with Burgundy due to its excellent location. Thomas Hensel has adapted a wide range of native grape varieties to the vineyards, including the pure Weissburgunder, the lush Grauburgunder, and the headstrong Spatburgunder. But uniquely, Hensel has also given several international all-rounders a place. Grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay also thrive in the Palatinate vineyards.

Wine from Hensel from Palatinate

Thanks to its modern techniques, Hensel creates beautiful and pure wines without sacrificing tradition. A prime example is the Hensel Weissburgunder Chardonnay. A perfect combination of tradition and innovation. This international Chardonnay works perfectly with the local Weissburgunder. Therefore, we can confidently say that this Hensel wine is truly a perfect one.

Another exceptional wine is the Hensel CM Rosé Cabernet Merlot. Don't be fooled by its slightly dark color. This is due to the fermentation of the grape skins. The aroma and flavor of this rosé are robust, deep, and complex, yet possess a certain purity that only wines from the Palatinate can match.

Why buy Hensel wine?

Thanks to Weingut Hensel, Palatinate wines are well on their way to becoming major competitors to Burgundy wines. The perfect location and ideal climate are primarily responsible for this. But thanks to modern insights and the careful attention paid to the grapes, as they do at Hensel, these German wines are also truly magnificent. Hensel's finest wine is undoubtedly the Hensel Chardonnay. This white wine almost perfectly approximates Burgundy quality. A robust and creamy pleasure, thanks in part to the long oak aging. Perfection with a capital P.
