15 months of wood aging

The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this red wine come from a specially selected vineyard. For this selection, it was important that the grapes receive sufficient sunshine but also cool conditions. Paul Mas also wanted to create a wine with character, which required old vines. The winemakers knew exactly which vineyard would be perfect for this wine. Because the vines are at least 25 years old, the grapes contain a rich terroir, which is clearly evident in this beautiful Grande Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are harvested entirely by hand, ensuring a strict selection of the grapes suitable for this red wine. After vinification, this red wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels for a perfect finish.

The result is certainly impressive: what a fantastic red wine! On the nose, this Paul Mas Grande Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon offers notes of vanilla and spice combined with ripe black fruit and a hint of truffles. The palate is full and slightly dry thanks to fine tannins, but not at all unpleasant. An elegant wine with plenty of ripeness and aromas of black fruit, vanilla, wood, and spice. This wine is a treat on its own, but if you want to make it even more delicious, pair it with a piece of red meat or lamb for the perfect pairing.
