A gift of pure craftsmanship

What a fantastic blend this Paul Mas Vignes de Nicole Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is! What makes this red wine from Paul Mas so special is that the grapes come from very old vines in select vineyards. Because these vines are "vine"-aged, the yield is low, but the quality is very high. These select vineyards are planted in the perfect location, allowing all the factors for the grapes to mature smoothly. When the grapes are perfectly ripe, the winemaker will initiate the manual harvest. This harvest begins mid-night. This ensures the grapes are still dormant, minimizing damage during transport to the winery. Vinification takes place separately for both grape varieties, after which the final blend is made. The wine will mature for seven months in the Paul Mas cellars in French oak barrels. Some of these oak barrels are new, giving this delicious red wine some extra power. After bottling in this large 1.5-liter bottle, the wine matures in the bottle for several months before being released by the winemaker. Because the bottle size is larger, the wine matures even better.
