The Nero d'Avola grape and the island of Sicily are a perfect match. This grape, like no other, produces exquisite red wines, just like this red Regaleali. The Tasca family, the winemakers of this red wine, has some of the finest vineyards spread across the island. Thanks to the ancient vines, some 40 years old, and the wonderful climate, the Nero d'Avola ripens beautifully. But this doesn't happen automatically; Regaleali wines are crafted with the utmost precision and craftsmanship. And this fine winery wants to launch a red that will allow you to taste the beauty of Sicily.

Wood aging for the red Regaleali

The harvest is hand-harvested when the Nero d'Avola reaches its ideal ripeness. The Tasca family begins this process early in the morning to minimize damage to the grapes. They are transported in small crates to the press, where a gentle pressing is performed. Afterward, this red Regaleali Nero d'Avola is aged in oak for eight months in the Tasca cellars. The wine is allowed to mature and acquire beautiful characteristics from the oak. We can look forward to a top-notch wine.

The aroma reveals notes of vanilla, thyme, and bay leaf, a touch of pepperiness, and abundant black fruit. The aroma is very pleasant and warm, making us eager to savor it. The palate is equally beautiful, robust with plenty of soft tannins. Lovely notes of herbs like thyme and bay leaf, pepper, cherries, and berries, along with hints of licorice and vanilla. This red wine is a prime example of a top-quality Sicilian red wine. It's delicious as an evening wine, but also pairs well with dishes like pasta, risotto, stew, and various cheeses.
