Vintage Report

The 2023 vintage in the Languedoc is considered outstanding with a Robert Parker score of 94. The wines from this year show excellent balance and a high level of quality.
Yes, this is a delicious and very surprising wine from Maison Robert Vic. A full-bodied white wine made from the finest Chardonnay grapes, matured in oak barrels after hand-harvesting. The entire Maison Robert Vic cellar is filled with oak barrels filled with this white gold.

Beautiful quality wines from Maison Robert Vic

The Vic family from the Beziers area (Languedoc-Roussillon) has been involved in wine since 1905. The vineyards of Maison Robert Vic lie on the Mediterranean coast in the south of France. The estate encompasses an impressive 250 hectares, and is now managed by Jerome Vic and his wife Aurélie, the fifth generation. They passionately continue what the previous generations established: producing beautiful, high-quality wines. The Limoux wine region earned its AOC status in 1959. This small region, with only 1,800 hectares of vineyards, boasts a unique character thanks to its high altitude in the foothills of the Pyrenees, distinguishing it from surrounding AOC wines. White grapes are primarily grown here and thrive. In the far south of France, close to the Mediterranean Sea, lies the ancient wine region where this Maison Robert Vic Limoux grows. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by a rigorous selection. Modern vinification takes place at a controlled low temperature. Finally, the wine is aged for eight months on its own lees in oak barrels, half of which are new.

The beautiful golden color of Maison Robert Vic Limoux

As soon as you pour this wine, you'll see a beautiful golden color with green glints. It's a rich and elegant wine with an impressive aroma. The nose is round and very full, with hints of apricots, peaches, vanilla, yellow cream, and a hint of cedar. The palate is round and thickly structured with plenty of yellow fruit. On the back of the tongue, we detected nuances of biscuit and vanilla in this Limoux from Maison Robert Vic! What a full-bodied wine.
