The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The most famous grape variety in the world, produced by the finest and largest winery in the Côtes de Gascogne. The winery was founded in 1912 in Eauze, a village in the heart of the Côtes de Gascogne. This area is traditionally renowned for the production of Armagnac, a distillate made from grape residue. However, when dry white wines emerged in this region, Yves Grasse, the third generation at Domaine du Tariquet, began planting white grape varieties. This proved to be a resounding success, as today, Domaine du Tariquet is the largest producer of white wines in this French wine region.

No grape in the world is more famous than the ever-popular Chardonnay. Wherever you walk through vineyards, you'll find at least one plot planted with this all-rounder. From Australia to South Africa and from Chile to California. Differently executed in every wine country, but always a feast for the eyes. Domaine du Tariquet Chardonnay is no different. The winemaker has done his best to combine the familiarity of a Chardonnay with the characteristic qualities of Tariquet and the Côtes de Gascogne. For example, 30% of Domaine du Tariquet Chardonnay has been lightly aged in oak, so that its fruity character is beautifully preserved.

Seductive. Elegant. Attractive. Our vinologists' tasting notes speak for themselves. Domaine du Tariquet is fruity and fresh. Surprisingly flavorful. Characterful, but above all, incredibly delicious. A deserved winner in this price range. The aroma is seductively perfumed with hints of flowers and yellow fruit. The moment you take a sip of Domaine du Tariquet Chardonnay, you'll fall in love. You taste an abundance of fruit, just as the winemaker intended. Pear, peach, apricot, apple, and citrus. A distinct hint of vanilla reveals the oak aging. A lively glass of wine that we can hardly get enough of.
