Nittnaus Selection Chardonnay is a superb Austrian white wine that will surely delight Chardonnay lovers. The Nittnaus winery is located in the picturesque Burgenland, a region renowned for its excellent wines. This Chardonnay from their selection is a real eye-catcher with its distinctive characteristics.

The Nittnaus Winery is a renowned family-run winery located in the picturesque town of Gols, in the Austrian Burgenland region. It has a long history and is known for its outstanding quality wines, primarily sourced from the region's unique Pannonian vineyards. The story of this winery begins over 300 years ago, and through the generations, the Nittnaus family has passed on their knowledge and passion for winemaking. They have always adhered to tradition while simultaneously embracing innovation and modern winemaking techniques. Nittnaus is particularly known for its commitment to organic viticulture. As early as the 1970s, the family realized that sustainability and respect for nature are essential for maintaining soil quality and producing excellent grapes. This Chardonnay is produced with great passion and expertise. It all begins in the vineyard, where cultivation is characterized by yield reduction, meaning that fewer grapes are deliberately allowed per vine to improve grape quality. The grapes are selected and harvested by hand, with only the finest and ripest bunches being picked. The grapes are carefully processed to preserve their fruity character. During fermentation, the temperature is closely controlled to create optimal conditions for developing the desired aromas and flavors. The wine then undergoes ten months of aging on full lees. This period of aging plays a crucial role in developing the wine's complexity and balance. The wine remains in contact with the yeast during this period, contributing to its creamy texture and depth of flavor.

Nittnaus Selection Chardonnay captivates with a radiant golden yellow color and a seductive aroma of lime and a hint of pineapple. With every sip, the wine reveals a full and creamy mouthfeel, tantalizing the taste buds with an abundance of fruity notes, including refreshing citrus, juicy mango, and ripe vineyard peach. The finish is harmonious and beckons you to continue. This organic Chardonnay is not aged in oak, ensuring its freshness and vibrancy. Gentle and smooth, it is excellent as an aperitif and a top choice with light fish dishes and flavorful Asian cuisine. A fruity and refreshing experience to savor.
