Het oogstjaar 2023 in Veneto kende over het algemeen gunstige omstandigheden, wat resulteerde in wijnen met een goede balans en aromatische expressie. Hoewel er enkele uitdagingen waren, leverde de oogst kwaliteitsvolle witte wijnen op met een levendige frisheid.

A perfect glass of white wine, this Capitel Tenda Soave from the Tedeschi winery. Soave wines can sometimes be too fresh and complex, but not this one, with its refinement and freshness. This wine is made with grapes harvested in vineyards located in the oldest area of origin—the municipality of Monteforte d'Alpone—which, together with Soave, forms the classic Soave region. The characteristic winemaking technology used produces an elegant and velvety wine with a delicate almond aroma.

400 years of passion at Tedeschi

The Tedeschi style, connected to the territory, with native vines, and with the most innovative production methods, emerged in the 1960s when Lorenzo Tedeschi had the intuition to vinify the grapes from the Monte Olmi vineyard separately, resulting in one of Valpolicella's first crus. Today, work in the vineyard and cellar is overseen by Riccardo, Antonietta, and Sabrina, pioneers throughout the region of healthy and environmentally friendly viticulture, perfectly combining old family traditions with science and new technologies. Their distinctive wines are the result of 400 years of intense passion and research in their Valpolicella vineyards. Harvest begins in late August or early September, followed by rigorous selection. After destemming and pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place for six days at a controlled temperature of 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. The wine is then bottled and aged for four months in the bottle.

The palate is also delightful, and it's clearly noticeable that this Capitel Tenda Soave Tedeschi is made from the Garganega grape. Beautiful, soft acidity with notes of peach and pineapple are perfectly balanced. The taste is full and creamy with a lively character.
