A good glass of Chardonnay wine from America is always a wake-up call. America has become the fourth largest player in international wine production, with a vision firmly focused on the beloved Chardonnay grape. Every wine lover is proud of a delicious Chardonnay from California. But wait: Acrobat Chardonnay isn't from California, but from Oregon? Indeed! Contrary to popular belief, California certainly doesn't have a monopoly on wine production, and a state like Oregon also knows how to create some truly magnificent gems.

Chardonnay wine from Oregon

California's North Coast is a popular wine region, thanks in part to its slightly cooler climate. Going even further north, it initially seems too cold for wine growing. Let's be honest: at first glance, Oregon doesn't have nearly the sunny and warm climate of California. But thanks to the excellent location of its valleys, more and more wineries are discovering Oregon's potential. In recent years, the popularity of Oregon wines has also been rising, and it may well become a serious competitor to California or Burgundy. A Burgundy competitor? Absolutely. Thanks to the similar climate, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay thrive in Oregon vineyards. One of Oregon's most illustrious wine regions is Willamette Valley, not entirely coincidentally the home of Acrobat Oregon Chardonnay.

The grapes are grown in western Oregon, allowing the ocean to clearly imprint itself on the rich clusters of Chardonnay. After harvest and pressing, the juice is fermented, partly in oak and partly in stainless steel. After aging on its own yeast cells (sur lie), the wines are bottled. The result is creamy and intense, with delicate flavors of peach, apricot, and lime. A striking combination of full-bodied and fresh, which has skyrocketed the popularity of Acrobat Oregon Chardonnay.
