Description
AIX Rosé 2024 | Provence, France
AIX Rosé 2024 is an iconic rosé from the hills of Provence, produced by Maison Saint Aix. At an altitude of over 400 meters in the heart of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation, this fresh and elegant rosé is bottled annually and has become a staple on wine lists worldwide. The 2024 edition remains true to the signature AIX profile: refined, thirst-quenching, and with a distinctly Mediterranean character.
Vineyards and region
The vineyards are situated on a plateau north of Aix-en-Provence, where sunny days and cool nights create a perfect balance of ripe fruit and crisp acidity. The soil consists of limestone and red clay, which contributes to the wine's purity and minerality. Thanks to a constant mistral wind, the grapes remain healthy until the relatively late harvest.
Vinification and maturation
The grapes are harvested at night to prevent oxidation and immediately cooled. After gentle pressing, the juice undergoes controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature. This preserves the fresh aromas and light color. The wine is aged for several months on the fine lees for added complexity, after which it is bottled in the characteristic AIX bottle.
Grape composition
Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah.
Tasting notes and serving suggestions
AIX Rosé 2024 is a light salmon pink in color, with aromas of white peach, raspberry, and citrus. The palate is smooth and dry, with refined acidity and a fresh, lingering finish. Serve this wine at 8 to 10 degrees Celsius with a goat cheese salad, sushi, or a Provençal dish of grilled vegetables.
