Not far from the Austrian and Slovenian borders, in northeastern Italy, we find the Alturis winery. This beautiful name comes from the elevated vineyards in the area, also known as Alturis. Because the estate is surrounded by Alturis vineyards, on which the beautiful "Alturis" vineyards are planted, the name was a natural fit. Owners Marco and Massimo Zorzettig come from a family that has been active in the wine industry for over three generations. This gives them invaluable knowledge of crafting the finest wines, and you can certainly taste it!
Unique microclimate for perfect harmony
The unique microclimate allows the Friulano grapes for this white wine to grow in perfect harmony. The adjacent mountains, combined with the Adriatic breeze, create this perfect microclimate. The grapes for this Italian white wine are harvested manually in September, early in the morning under the strict supervision of Marco and Massimo Zorzettig. This rigorous selection ensures that only the finest and most beautiful grapes are used in the wine. This is certainly reflected in the taste of this Alturis Friulano. Once the grapes arrive at the Alturis winery, the gentle pressing takes place. After pressing, the wine is aged on the lees, giving it its distinctive character.
Delicious soft mild white wine
The result is truly magnificent. This white wine will transport you to beautiful Italy, nestled among the cypress trees in the glorious warm sunshine! This Friulano has a deep golden yellow color. The aroma offers pleasantly familiar aromas of ripe white fruit like pear and melon, interspersed with delightful notes of lime blossom honey. The taste of this Alturis Friulano is wonderfully soft and mild, perfectly balanced. The mild flavors of the white fruit are beautifully combined with subtle citrus notes. We also detected some almonds on the back of the palate, providing a very pleasant finish. The finish lingers wonderfully, allowing us to savor this white wine for a long time to come.
