According to the Robert Parker Vintage Chart, 2018 is an excellent year for Californian Pinot Noir, awarded impressive scores of around 94 points. The wines from this vintage offer fantastic quality and are now beautifully drinkable, with great potential for further aging.

If we're honest, this is our favorite Bernardus wine. We've rarely tasted such a beautiful Pinot Noir! The Bernardus Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard is a true gem. The grapes for this superb red wine come from, indeed, Rosella's Vineyard. A very specific vineyard where the Pinot Noir grape can truly flourish. This Pinot Noir Bernardus is produced in very limited quantities. Only 48 bottles are shipped to the Netherlands annually, and we are among the lucky ones to purchase this Rosella's Vineyard.

The Bernardus Winery has a fascinating Dutch history. Ben Pon, formerly known for importing beautiful car brands, changed course at some point in his life. He turned his hobby into his profession. The Burgundian Ben has always had a passion for wine. This is why he wanted to build his own winery. He felt it was crucial that the local population benefited by creating plenty of employment. He also wanted to produce only premium wines. Well, if anything has succeeded, it's those premium wines! What a wonderful selection Bernardus now boasts! As mentioned, the Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir Bernardus is the showpiece.

The aroma and taste of the Rosella's Vineyard Limited Edition

For a moment, our world stood still after tasting this special, exceptional Pinot Noir from Rosella's Vineyard. Drink it at the right temperature, around 13 degrees Celsius, for the optimal taste experience. In the glass, Rosella's Pinot Noir displays an unusually deep and dark color for a Pinot Noir. The nose offers very intense aromas of abundant ripe fruit, such as black cherries, with a touch of spice, licorice, and hints of earth. On the palate, the rich fruit flavors are wonderfully dense with great focus and length. The finish is very long with a smooth, velvety texture. This wine will only improve with age in a well-conditioned cellar.
